Dear all,

There seems to be a misunderstanding in Renate's reply to 
Nnenna and Jean-Louis.

They were both referring to the Task Force on Finacing and 
not the WGIG. The Financing Task Force is indeed rather ... 
opaque. It is actually working the good old UN way - which 
is a good occasion to see that some progress - however 
small - has been accomplished in the othe process on 
Internet governance, which at least tries to be a little 
more open.  

But on financing, this is only the first phase : after 
prepCom 2 nobody can expect the issue to be dropped and the 
Task force will supposedly be over. 

Therefore, what aboout proposing the setting up of a working 
group in the more open, and participatory WGIG format ? It 
would have the responsibility of conducting an iterative 
open consultation process with stakeholders, instead of the 
drafting of an additional report behind closed doors 
(whatever the competence of the people within the room).
