[Wireless-general] Introducing the Wireless General List

Hi Everyone,

As the work around the wireless project is diversifying, we have decided
to rationalise the way that we work together online around the wireless
project. This list that you have been subscribed to, is one of three new
lists that replace the former 'wireless planning' list.
This one - The Wireless General list - is for people with a
more general interest in developing community wireless networking
project ideas.
Subscribers to this list include people who were formerlly on the
wireless planning list who didn't have a direct involvement in the
current APC wireless project for developing training materials for
networkers in Africa.
It also includes people who are interested in looking at ways of taking
the project beyond Africa - how it can be localised, funded and made
relevant for other regions.
As this list includes a number of new-comers, it might be good if people
can introduce themselves and say a little about their interest in
community wireless networking.

If you feel you have been inappropriately subscribed, and/or wish to
join either:
* The Wireless Workshop list - for planning the content and
practicalities of the project workshops in Africa for 2005
or
* The Wireless Advisory Group list  - for discussions around broader
project development - its scope, funding etc..

...then do write to me and let me know.
