<DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2>Ministry of Information, People's Republic of
Bangladesh has finally approved the National Strategy of Community Radio
Installation, Broadcast and Operation Policy. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2>This National Strategy has been formulated and
adopted to implement the Community Radio Installation and Broadcast and
Operation Policy. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2><FONT face=Verdana><STRONG>UNICEF Bangladesh</STRONG> has
provided technical Cooperation for preparing National Strategy of
Community Radio Installation and Broadcast and Operation Policy to the Ministry
of Information.</FONT></FONT>
<DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2>The strategy was developed through a
multi- stakeholders consultation. </FONT><FONT face=Verdana size=2>This is
one of the achievements towards implementation of Community radio
initiative in Bangladesh as it outline government strategy in line with the
Community radio Policy.<BR><BR></FONT><SPAN class=Apple-style-span

style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>has started full transmission.

89.20 of Naogaon district, Community Radio Mahananda 98.80 of Chapai-Nawabganj
district, Community Radio Jhinuk 89.20 of Jhinedah district, , Community Rural
Radio Krishi Radio 98.8 of Amtali Upazila of Barguna district, Community Radio
Sagargiri 89.20 of Sitakunda, Chittagong district, have started test
transmission.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

Khulna district have done all the prepare to go on test broadcasting.
