Consultation with Civil Society on Community Radio Strategy in Bangladesh



The Government of Bangladesh has developed Community Radio Installation, Broadcast and Operation Policy 2008. Based on the policy, now the Ministry of Information is working to develop a National Strategy Paper with the support of UNICEF.


As part of the Strategy development process for Community Radio, a consultation meeting has been organized with the members of the civil society on 14 July at Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) 

3 Circuit House Road, Dhaka 1000 from 10 AM to 1 PM. 

The purpose of the meeting is to get inputs form the civil society to develop a national strategy on community radio for the Ministry of Information. 


Mr. Abu Bakar Siddque, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Information will present as a chief guest.
