PrepCom-3 Gets Off to Slow Start
ITU Secretary-General Urges Delegates to Set Aside "Narrow Interests"

Around 1'500 delegates are meeting in Geneva for the next 10 days to  
decide the future governance of the Internet, strategies for ICT  
development and implementation of the action plan of the World Summit  
on the Information Society (WSIS), which will take place in Tunis  
from 16-18 November.
WSIS PrepCom-3 represents the final round of preparatory discussions  
before this important top-level UN Summit, the decisions of which  
have the potential to reshape the online world as we know it.
