Second Annual SANGONeT "ICTs for Civil Society" Conference and Exhibition
1-3 March 2006
Indaba Hotel, Fourways, Johannesburg
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The Southern African NGO Network (SANGONeT) will host its second annual
"ICTs for Civil Society" Conference and Exhibition from 1-3 March 2006 at
the Indaba Hotel in Fourways, Johannesburg.
Building on the success of the 2005 event, the next conference will focus
specifically on a wide range of new and practical information, communication
and technology (ICT) services, solutions and applications relevant to the
work of civil society organisations (CSOs) in Southern Africa.
The objectives of the conference will be to learn more about the day-to-day
experiences of CSOs in applying and adopting ICT, as well as to profile and
demonstrate relevant and practical applications, which could further
strengthen the impact of their work. The conference will have a strong focus
on free and open source issues and applications.
SANGONeT invites anyone interested in participating in the event as a
speaker, trainer or facilitator to register their interest at -

Information on case studies, technology solutions, practical applications,
etc. which could be incorporated into the conference programme would be much
appreciated.
The conference programme will consist of a combination of plenary sessions,
breakaway and training sessions, and practical technology demonstrations.
The conference is aimed at senior staff and technical employees in the CSO
sector as well as individuals who work with these organisations, including
international funding agencies, the private sector and government.
Approximately 300 people will attend the event.
We look forward to your participation in this important civil society event.
