2) WSIS Thematic Meeting on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships for Bridging the Digital Divide Seoul, Republic of Korea, 23 - 24 June 2005

The Geneva Declaration of Principles from the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) recognizes that the ambitious goal of bridging the digital divide will require strong commitment by all stakeholders at both national and international levels. The objective of the Thematic Meeting is to provide a forum for the presentation of successful multi-stakeholder partnerships for bridging the digital divide and stimulating debate on the institutional, economic, political and social conditions that contribute to or impede their success. The meeting will also further encourage the development of a composite Digital Opportunity Index (DOI).
