Hi Good People,
Thank you very much for the updates, daily reports and
your involvement in the different places. Sounds like
you are just flying into this or the other meeting
with very little time for even a glass of water!
The issues that are raising core regional differences
are important to pay attention to. The good thing
about the task force is that it cuts accross regions
and can agree ofcourse partly because we are
homogeniuos i.e civil society and small.
Therefore I think we need to give attention to the
issues that cause divisions and think thru them more
carefully.
Besides the question of emphasis on advocacy that you
raised is very critical. It might not be that
beneficial for civil society to make excellent
recommendations which will not see light in the
governmental document. Probably the apparent
successess in the previous phase made us rather
complacent!
Let me congratulate you Jane and the Task Force for
the additional responsibilities for the next days. Yes
it means less sleep but I think this is also welcome
news.
