[WSIS CS-Plenary] Content and Themes - Plan for Response to the Draft Plan of Action

All,

The Content and Themes meeting tonight
developed a plan for the Civil Society
response to the Plan of Action.

0. Approach: Content, Time lines, and Speaking

-- Work on individual sections of the Plan of Action will be
   coordinated by Civil Society focal points attending the
   Governmental Working Groups.
-- A focal point has been assigned for each Working Group.
** These focal points are to represent and work with all Civil Society
   participants from which they receive input -- not just their own caucus.
-- All Civil Society participants are asked to provide input to
   these people and help them draft language.
-- The focus will not be on drafting line-by-line language as before.
   Instead, people are asked to focus on 1 or 2 paragraphs, as in
   the Civil Society documents addressing "non-negotiable" language.
** The onus is on the people to get the content to the appropriate
   focal points directly.
-- Language must be produced as soon as possible, preferably
   before the Working Groups start tomorrow.
** Focal Points and Caucuses are also to workout speaking slots
   and times with the Speaking Slot Coordinator (see below).


1. Focal Points from Civil Society have volunteered or
   drafted for each Governmental Working Group that
   is working on the Action Plan. These Focal Points
   are as follows:

-- More information about this will be presented tomorrow, but
   drafters are requested to provide footers in each document
   with points of contact and to date documents.

   Content and Themes room CICG J132 to Sister Mary Margaret.
