Savita of the Secretariat kindly answered the questions raised on the information note sent. (Some of these questions were also raised by Meryem, and responded to initially by Rik.
Look for her answers in blue...

Thanks for this, Savita--very very helpful. I have posted it to the Plenary list as well.
Three Questions:
First:
"Security
The Swiss authorities and UN/ITU have jointly prepared an overall security plan. As part of this plan, there will be a security perimeter around Palexpo, and only those participants who have received a photo-badge will be admitted inside this perimeter.
Access to the Summit Premises during the Summit"
Photo badge? Will this be provided for when (all) accredited people register? (I.e., a photo will be taken and a photo badge generated upon registration?) YES.
Perimeter around Palexpo? The whole palexpo? Or only the specific summit areas (i.e., Hall 1? Hall 2). If a photobadge is required for all areas, then the photo will be taken upon registration, won't it? Just Halls 1 and 2
Second:
"The ICT4D Platform is being held in Hall 7, media representatives, officially invited delegates and people accredited to the WSIS have free entry. If you fall into these categories, please contact info at ict-4d.org."
Why do we (officially invited delegates/people accredited by WSIS) have to contact info at ict-4d.org ? I am not sure, but I doubt it is absolutely necessary.
My last question is not related to the information note but to an earlier message I posted:
- What will be the CS "headquarters"/operations center/coordination center in Palexpo?
- Will there be a computer room, with internet access? (By the way, what is the situation of wireless internet access in Palexpo?)
- Will there be a space to hold meetings and caucuses (of families or working groups)?
We have 10 CS Offices to be shared amongst the Bureau. There is wireless access in these offices so its better to bring your laptops as there are no fixed PC as far as I know. There is a cybercafé very close with over 100 computers. We also have the Agora room which is probably large enough for the Bureau, this could be used as an HQ. All these questions can be discussed at the Bureau meeting.
Hope for some quick responses--many people are leaving for geneva in the next few days...
Thanks and regards
Best, Savita
