On behalf of the Inter-American Organization of Higher Education IOHE
http://www.oui-iohe.qc.ca , which includes about 400 universities, 
and
EISTA's Organizing Committee, I would like to invite you to 
participate in
the International Conference on Education and Information Systems:
Technologies and Applications EISTA 2004, which will be held in 
Orlando,
Florida, USA, in July 21 - 25, 2004.

The main objective of EISTA '04 is to provide a forum for the 
presentation
of both: solutions and problems of the applications of Information
Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education and Training.

Therefore, we invite you to submit your original and unpublished 
works,
research results, case studies, information systems developed for 
specific
purposes, and innovative ideas and designs in the fields of
Education/Training and Information/Communication Technologies (ICT) 
that
might be improved by different approaches and design in ICT.

I would also like you to consider the possibility of organizing an 
invited
session related to the topic of your research interest in this 
field. If
you are interested in doing so, please, fill the respective form 
provided
in the conference web page: http://www.confinf.org/eista04 .

The best 10% of the papers will be published in the Journal of 
Systemics,
Cybernetics and Informatics 
(http://www.iiisci.org/Journal/SCI/Home.asp),
the hard copy version of which will be ready in about one month, and 
it
will be sent to the largest university libraries.

deliver
them to your colleagues?

EISTA '04 Organizing Committee invites authors to submit their 
original and
unpublished works, innovations, ideas based on analogical thinking,
problems that require solutions, position papers, case studies, 
etc., in
the fields of Education/Training and Information/Communication 
Technologies
(ICT). ICT researchers are invited to present their research results.
Practitioners and consultants are invited to present case study 
papers and
innovative solutions. Corporations are invited to present
education/training information systems and software based solutions.
Teachers and University professors are invited to present case 
studies,
information systems developed for specific purposes, and innovative 
ideas
and designs. Educational scientists and technologists are invited to
present research or position papers on the impact and the future
possibilities of ICT in educational systems and training processes 
and
methodologies.
Manager of educational organizations and training consultants are 
invited
to present problems that might be solved by means of ICT, or 
solutions that
might be improved by different approaches and design in ICT.

All are invited to organize panel or invited sessions. Panel 
sessions with
panelists coming from both: ICT researchers/practitioners and
teachers/professors.

Submitted papers must describe work not previously published. They 
must not
be submitted concurrently to another conference with refereed 
proceedings.

January 07th, 2004: Submission of extended abstracts (500-1500) 
words or
paper drafts (2000-5000) words.

January 07th, 2004: Invited session proposals.

March 03rd, 2004: Notifications of Acceptance.

May 05th, 2004: Submission of final versions: hard copies and 
electronic
versions.

Some invited sessions might have a different timetable according to 
its
organizer and chair

* PAPERS REVIEWING AND PUBLICATION

Submitted papers will be reviewed. Accepted papers, which should not 
exceed
six single-spaced typed pages, will be published by means of paper 
and
electronic proceedings. Authors of accepted papers must sign a 
copyright
release form.

The Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics will publish, 
at
least, the best 10% of the papers presented at the conference.
