He came under criticism from the foreign affairs select committee, claiming that the work of the Foreign Office had undermined the department’s excellent work on human rights. They even suggesting withdrawing the UK from the Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Or will we be pushing for amendments to any proposed UK Bill to make sure rights are not watered down?
